At its best Wildling is very smart about how we humans like to compare ourselves to animals from the names of our sports teams to. And like Annas choice in meals this creature feature from the director Fritz Böhm is functional but lacks flavor an imaginative spark.

Its also notable that the good characters are brother and sister with no parents in sight.

Its a deep character piece that is slightly predictable but still works. Monster movie about puberty is smart but bloody. The movie is very unconventional for a werewolf film but really works.
The violence in this movie isnt very frequent but it is a bit graphic a character sticks a gun in his mouth and pulls the trigger. We do get some solid practical effects along with some painfully bad CGI. Its a really smart approach to an ageless tale and putting aside all deeper meaning Wildling works on its surface as a cool and spooky monster movie with great performances and some extremely.
Nothing really happens in this film until the last 15 minutes. In the last 15 minutes the story picks up seems to be getting pretty good and then the film just ends mid scene. The tale here is a coming-of-age story with pepperings of Mystery and Suspense though the plot is heavily anchored around some truly classic Horror characters.
